Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (36 hours per week). Weekend coverage required - 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period. Float coverage as needed. Contract length 13-26 weeks available. Holiday coverage required.

- Comprehensive cardiac telemetry unit with 43 rooms and diverse patient population including post-surgical cardiac and thoracic procedures
- Patient ratio 1:6 with collaborative interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and physical therapy
- Electronic medical record system: EPIC with 24 hours of orientation provided
- Exposure to advanced cardiac procedures including TAVR, Watchman, mitral clip, post-catheterization, and electrophysiology patients
- Experience with specialized equipment including arterial lines, femoral sheaths, chest tubes, and cardiac monitoring devices

Requirements:
- Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
- Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/Step-down experience strongly preferred
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Willingness to serve on Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events as needed
Patient Population:
- Adults and geriatric patients with cardiac diagnoses including atrial fibrillation, CHF, acute coronary syndrome, CAD, valvular disorders, endocarditis, cardiomyopathy, and vascular conditions
- Post-operative patients following CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, carotid endarterectomy, vascular surgeries, and thoracic procedures
- Post-procedural care for cardiac catheterization, cardioversion, electrophysiology, and pacemaker placements
