    Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts with Weekends | 3x12-Hour Shifts

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Telemetry/Step-Down unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:4
    • Perform telemetry monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
    • Deliver care in a cardiovascular transitional care or progressive care unit setting
    • Float to other facilities within the health system as needed based on staffing requirements
    • Complete non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required
    Required Qualifications
    • Active California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
    • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • Minimum 2 years of CV TCU/PCU (Cardiovascular Transitional/Progressive Care Unit) experience
    • Teaching hospital experience required
    • Charting experience in Epic
    • 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submission
    • All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submission; no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
    • Local candidates are accepted and are eligible for the same rates as travel candidates
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Transplant nursing experience
    • Prior experience working within a large academic or university-affiliated medical system
