Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown
Location
Hilo, HI | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Rotating Shift | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary nursing care within a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including Step Down ICU and telemetry beds
- Perform telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading
- Conduct fingerstick blood sugar monitoring
- Operate unit equipment including BIPAP, continuous cardiac monitoring, Meditech charting, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Float to other acute units within the facility, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
- Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Progressive Care and telemetry nursing experience
- ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- NIHSS certification
