Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Sunday – Saturday availability required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry/Cardiac Stepdown unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data and respond to changes in patient condition
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient care demands
- Provide weekend coverage as part of the standard schedule
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
- Participate in orientation modules including unit-specific and system training
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN State License — must be in hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of application
- BLS certification — must be in hand at time of application
- NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of application
- EPIC experience required and must be documented in work history
- Two (2) supervisor references required at time of application
- Local candidates are welcome and will be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute (preferred; MAB or Online CPI Blue certification not accepted)
- Experience in a float pool or multi-unit environment
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac stepdown patient populations
