Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac Stepdown unit with an average daily census of 24 and a 4:1 staffing ratio
- Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR and manage medications through Pyxis
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float to other units and campuses as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
- Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to and during contract
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – pending licensure not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or Cardiac Telemetry unit
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; approval is subject to facility needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity progressive care or stepdown environment
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication management systems
