Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 13–26 Week Assignment | 36- or 48-hour workweeks accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Stepdown unit with a strong cardiac background
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and perform assessments in accordance with unit protocols
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to start date
- Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, within demonstrated competencies
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown experience
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
- AHA BLS certification required
- AHA ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Must pass medication and arrhythmia exam as part of pre-assignment requirements
- Must live more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible (night shift Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care); candidates 50–99.9 miles away may be subject to a bill rate reduction
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with travel nursing assignments and familiarity with traveler compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to float to various units while maintaining quality patient care
- Strong communication and adaptability skills in a fast-paced hospital environment
