Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population on a telemetry unit with a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio across a 16-room unit
- Manage patients presenting with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular conditions
- Document and communicate patient care using Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR methodology
- Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
- Adhere to weekend rotation expectations (every other weekend) and holiday work requirements per assignment guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Proficiency with Epic is required
- All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or on-site, including during orientation week

Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a telemetry or cardiac step-down unit setting
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Experience with SBAR communication framework in a clinical environment
