Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Modesto, California.

Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts per week

1. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry experience.
- At least 2 years specifically in Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/Stepdown.
- Active California RN license.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Experience managing cardiac drips listed below is mandatory.
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
- No on-call requirement.
2. Mandatory Cardiac Drip Experience
Candidates must have experience with all four drips:
- Amiodarone
- Heparin
- Cardizem (diltiazem)
- Dopamine
Do not submit candidates who lack experience with any of these required drips without first confirming eligibility with the account manager.
3. Required Clinical Skills
Candidates should demonstrate experience with:
Cardiac and telemetry care
- Cardiac monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- Management of dysrhythmias and cardiac emergencies.
- Telemetry monitoring and response.
- Pacemakers, temporary and permanent.
Cardiac procedures
- Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization.
- Pre- and post-CABG.
- Pre- and post-TAVR.
- Post-MI care.
- Post-cardiac angiogram care.
- TR Band management.
Additional clinical skills
- IV insertion and maintenance.
- Central and peripheral line care.
- Blood product administration.
- Phlebotomy.
- Oxygen administration and nasal cannula.
- Non-invasive airway management.
- Wound care and wound VAC.
4. Assignment Details
- Patient population: Adults.
- Unit: Cardiac Telemetry RN.
- Facility address: 1700 Coffee Road, Modesto, CA 95355.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
- Holidays: As needed.
- Call: None.
- Block scheduling: Not available.
- Time off: Maximum 7 days per contract, subject to approval.
- Holiday RTO: Only one holiday request permitted per contract.
- Orientation: 16 hours non-billable.
- Charting system: Not specified in the job record; confirm with the facility.
