• Weekly Hours: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: 3x12s with day and night rotation
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Float: May float to similar units as needed to support the same patient population

Job Requirements

• 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
• 18 months of recent Cardiac Stepdown or Stepdown RN experience required; travel nursing experience is accepted
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and every other holiday
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate during orientation
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and comfort in a fast-paced telemetry and cardiac care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to cardiac stepdown patients with complex medical needs
• Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to patient status changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient recovery
• Care for post-surgical and cardiovascular patients transitioning to a lower acuity level
• Maintain accurate documentation and promote a positive patient experience
• Adapt to changing unit needs and support similar patient care areas when floated
