• Schedule Note: Day and night rotation may be required based on operational needs

Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of recent stepdown nursing experience required
• At least 18 months of combined perm experience in the specialty required
• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong ECG rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring skills
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Recent reference from a manager, supervisor, ANM, or director in the specialty
• Travel nursing experience is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and progressive care patients
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition quickly and accurately
• Support patients transitioning from higher levels of care to recovery and discharge
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate patient updates to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to promote safe, effective recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care
• Adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment while upholding strong clinical standards
