Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, New York.

Travel Cardiac Telemetry RN | Stepdown/PCU

Shift: 12-hour days
Hours: 36 per week
Contract: 13 weeks
Weekends: Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of RN experience.
• Cardiac telemetry experience.
• BLS and ACLS.
• Completed, accurate telemetry skills checklist.

Required Cardiac Experience

• TAVR, Watchman, MitraClip, and heart catheterization patients.
• Preoperative and postoperative open-heart care following transfer from CVICU, including CABG patients more than 3 days postop.
• Cardiac IV and oral medications, anticoagulants, and fixed-rate cardiac drips: Cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, lidocaine, milrinone, heparin, and insulin.
• CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias, NSTEMI, STEMI, and pulmonary embolism.
• TR band use, groin/access-site management, and recognition of procedural complications.
• Sepsis, pneumonia, stroke, and observation patients.

Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered nursing care, assess and coordinate treatment, safely administer medications, and educate patients and families on recovery and disease management.
