Job Details

• Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania 15401
• Setting: Acute care cardiac stepdown / telemetry
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,040 - $2,150
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, as scheduled
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
• Floating: May float to ICU as helping hands
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: 2 shifts with a preceptor

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of acute care, telemetry, stepdown, or cardiac nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips and manage a cardiac-focused patient population
• Experience titrating cardiac-related drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin
• Comfort caring for patients with dysrhythmias, CVAs, and mixed-acuity diagnoses
• Strong assessment, communication, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends as scheduled, and rotating holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry rhythms and changing patient conditions
• Administer medications and manage ordered drips according to patient needs and protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient progress
• Care for patients downgraded from ICU and those with a variety of acute medical conditions
• Document care accurately in the EMR and maintain strong clinical communication throughout the shift
• Support a team-based environment while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
