• Location: Bangor, ME 04401
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,040 - $2,150
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/20/2026
• End Date: 1/16/2027
• Charting System: Cerner preferred
• Floating: May float to ED, ICU, or CCU when needed

Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of intermediate care or stepdown nursing experience required
• Med/Surg nurses with PCU experience should have 2 years of relevant experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills required
• Experience with cardiac drips and insulin titration preferred and highly valued
• Experience with STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, atrial fibrillation with RVR, and post-cardiac cath patients preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred; charge nurse experience is a plus
• Trauma and stroke experience preferred for floating or complex patient assignments
• Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
• Monitor and manage patients with acute cardiac conditions and post-procedure needs
• Administer and titrate cardiac and insulin drips per protocol
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients recovering from cardiac cath, ablation, TAVR, and related procedures
• Support patients requiring telemetry, oxygen therapy, and close neuro monitoring as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, effective patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit standards for patient safety and quality care
