• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours scheduled; 48 hours available based on unit needs
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday required
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 3:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Patient Census: Approximately 10 patients daily

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Virginia nursing license accepted if in hand by the required deadline
• BLS and ACLS required
• Epic experience required
• Strong telemetry, cardiac stepdown, or intermediate care experience preferred
• Ability to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Comfort working with surgical and trauma-related diagnoses
• BSN preferred
• Must be able to float within scope of practice as needed
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care for cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Provide care for patients with surgical, trauma, and complex medical needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established clinical protocols
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
• Serve as a reliable team member during night shifts, weekends, and holidays
