  • Weekly Schedule Option: 36-hour or 48-hour weekly schedule available

  • Unit Type: Mixed intermediate care and med/surg overflow
  • Typical Ratios: 1:4 to 1:6 depending on assignment
  • Charting System: Epic preferred

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac stepdown care
  • Ability to assist with med/surg overflow when needed
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Comfortable managing patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
  • Strong clinical skills in a fast-paced intermediate care environment

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
  • Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac rhythms and patient condition
  • Support patients receiving post-cardiac care, including post-MI and post-procedure monitoring
  • Collaborate with the care team to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care
  • Float to med/surg as needed to support patient care needs
  • Administer treatments, medications, and therapies according to unit standards and protocols
  • Respond appropriately to rapid response situations and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
