    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology (EP RN)

    Location

    New York, NY | Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Primarily Days with some evenings, holidays, and on-call per unit needs | 3 x 12-hour shifts

    Key Responsibilities
    • Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures and ensure all equipment and instrumentation is in proper working order prior to each case
    • Serve as circulator at the sterile field, assisting with patient and equipment preparation for EP studies and ablations; maintain fluids for the ablation catheter and provide assistance with the ablator
    • Remain patient-focused during studies and ablations, assisting Anesthesia, documenting procedures in Epic (required), and providing backup pacing during implants
    • Monitor procedure read-outs and recordings, communicating any issues to the physician or specialist; assist with lab analysis and interpretation of data
    • Coordinate with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors to ensure all team members and supplies are available for scheduled procedures; assist in facilitating room turnover and on-time case starts
    • Support physicians with pacing implementation and assistance with permanent cardiac device implants as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New York State RN License (NY only)
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
    • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) only
    • Proficiency in moderate sedation
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR for procedural documentation
    • Strong communication skills to coordinate with physicians and in-room staff regarding equipment and supply needs
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience
    • Experience with GE MacLab and/or CardioLab systems
    • Familiarity with EP mapping systems such as Biosense Webster Carto, Abbott EnSite/Precision, or Rhythmia
    • Experience with a broad range of EP procedures including RF/cryo ablations, device implants (pacemakers, ICDs, leadless PPM, loop recorders), LAAC (Watchman/Amulet), and HRE
