RN – Electrophysiology Lab

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, Days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | No call, no weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate EP procedures including ablations and device implants (pacemakers, ICDs/defibrillators, BiV devices, Watchman, loop recorders) in a two-lab electrophysiology unit averaging 6–7 cases per day
- Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
- Perform strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring throughout procedures
- Administer medications, including conscious sedation, in accordance with state practice standards and facility policies
- Serve as point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Utilize EPIC, Cupid, and MacLab/CardioLab systems to document and manage patient care
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in state of practice or covered by compact licensure
- Dedicated EP Lab RN experience required (not Cath Lab RN with limited EP exposure)
- Experience circulating EP procedures and monitoring EP cases such as device implants
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- EPIC Electronic Health Record experience required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Scrubbing experience in the EP Lab
- Familiarity with Cupid and MacLab/CardioLab systems
- RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
