Key Responsibilities
Circulate EP procedures including ablations and device implants (pacemakers, ICDs/defibrillators, BiV devices, Watchman, loop recorders) in a two-lab electrophysiology unit averaging 6–7 cases per day
Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
Perform strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring throughout procedures
Administer medications, including conscious sedation, in accordance with state practice standards and facility policies
Serve as point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Utilize EPIC, Cupid, and MacLab/CardioLab systems to document and manage patient care
Required Qualifications
Current RN license in state of practice or covered by compact licensure
Dedicated EP Lab RN experience required (not Cath Lab RN with limited EP exposure)
Experience circulating EP procedures and monitoring EP cases such as device implants
Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
EPIC Electronic Health Record experience required
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Scrubbing experience in the EP Lab
Familiarity with Cupid and MacLab/CardioLab systems
