Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Parkersburg, WV

Contract | Days | 8-Hour Shifts (staggered start times: 0700–1530, 0800–1630, or 0900–1730) | On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating, prep, and sedation duties within a 3-suite Cath Lab environment averaging 13 cases per day
• Place IVs as needed and manage all patient care needs throughout the procedure
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation during diagnostic and interventional procedures including PCI, TEEs, balloon pumps, pacers, event recorders, and defibrillators
• Document pre- and post-procedure information in Epic (CUPID module)
• Participate in on-call rotation: every 3rd weekend (full weekend) and every 3rd weekday, with a 30-minute call response time requirement
• Collaborate with radiologic technologists and physicians; scrubbing is performed by RAD techs, not RNs

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Valid, unexpired driver's license — copy must be submitted with application

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Familiarity with Epic EMR, including the CUPID scheduling module
• Experience with Volcano and Impella equipment
• Background in interventional cardiology procedures including balloon pump management and temporary pacing
