Contract | Days (4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | Monday–Friday with on-call requirements | Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a multi-room Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology setting within an acute care hospital environment
- Perform and assist with cardiac catheterization and/or interventional radiology procedures, including administration of conscious sedation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic electronic health record system
- Participate in on-call rotation: expected approximately 7 days per month, including one weekend per month (Friday–Sunday PM) and one additional weekday per week
- May be expected to float to nearby sister facilities as needed during the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an IR RN or Cath Lab RN; first-time travelers must also meet this 2-year lab experience requirement
- Experience in a lab with at least 2 procedure rooms within a facility of 250 beds or more
- Sedation skills required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES or CCI RCIS, and NIHSS
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard travel rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate
- All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of candidate submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Epic EMR experience highly preferred for Cath Lab RNs; required for IR RNs
- Experience in a high-volume, multi-room lab environment
- Familiarity with Magnet-designated hospital standards and workflows
