Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting
- Assess patients with complex problems, incorporating physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and synthesize data to determine priorities for care
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop, update, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care
- Communicate relevant clinical information to promote continuity of care and consult appropriate resources for patients with complex or high-risk needs
- Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology (EP) setting
