Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (5x8s) | On-call required approximately once every 4 weeks for one week at a time (Monday-Sunday); weekend obligation limited to on-call only
Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and special procedures
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation in accordance with facility protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation, currently expected approximately once every 4 weeks for a full week (Monday-Sunday)
- Utilize Epic electronic health records for accurate and timely documentation
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols; a radiation badge must be sourced through the staffing agency prior to start - it will not be provided by the facility
- Be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed
Required Qualifications- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact State nursing license (SC license must be active prior to reporting to the facility)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in ER, trauma, ICU, critical care, or procedural nursing, including moderate sedation
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in pediatric and/or adult vascular interventional radiology
- Background in circulating for interventional procedures
