Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting across pre-procedure, procedural, and post-procedure phases
- Assist with and monitor patients undergoing non-invasive cardiology procedures including TEE, cardioversions, and stress testing
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:3 across 2 procedure rooms and 3 pre/post bays
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes throughout all phases of care
- Fulfill holiday coverage requirements as needed unless the unit is closed
Required Qualifications
- Active Iowa RN license (or compact license accepted per state requirements)
- BLS certification through AHA or ARC required and must be current
- Minimum 24 months of experience in a Cardiac, Cardiology, Cath Lab, or Vascular setting
- Pre/post op experience required
- Experience with TEE and cardioversion procedures required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Valid driver's license required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (based on driver's license)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Stress testing experience preferred
- Diagnostic procedures experience in a cath or cardiology setting
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
- First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
