Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for patients undergoing coronary PCI and structural heart procedures in a 2-bed Cath Lab setting
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including Impella, IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump), and Penumbra
- Administer and manage drips including vasopressors, vasodilators, and glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors
- Collaborate with the procedural team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout cardiac interventions
- Participate in on-call rotations as required by unit needs, including coverage for designated holidays
Required Qualifications
- Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required at time of submission
- Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab / CCL experience required
- Experience with coronary PCI and structural heart patient populations required
- Hands-on experience with Impella, IABP, and Penumbra equipment required
- Experience administering vasopressors, vasodilators, and glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors required
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
- ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (verified by driver's license)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC Cupid EMR highly preferred
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
- Cath Lab-specific skills checklist preferred at time of submission
