Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in a 2-suite Cardiac Cath Lab performing an average of 8 cases per day
- Assist with all cardiac invasive procedures including peripheral procedures such as carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostic and intervention cases (structural heart procedures excluded)
- Operate and document within a Cerner EMR environment alongside Cath Lab/IR Techs and Cardiologists
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including weekend call coverage; expected average of approximately 12 call days per month (may range up to 18 depending on staffing), with a 30-minute response time required
- Fulfill rotating holiday call assignments as scheduled
- Wear hospital-provided scrubs; no floating to other units required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
- Must complete and pass the Dysrhythmia (DYS) exam through Relias prior to contract start (exam must be completed within 24–48 hours of assignment; 2 attempts permitted; exam completed within the last 12 months may be accepted)
- Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility within the CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity network within the past year (candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms may be considered)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Scrub experience in the Cath Lab preferred; candidates without scrub experience will be considered
- Familiarity with peripheral IR procedures including carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostic and intervention cases
- Prior experience as a Charge Nurse in a Cath Lab or procedural setting
