Key Responsibilities- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care based on ongoing collection and assessment of patient health data
- Performs health teaching, health counseling, and provides supportive and restorative therapy and treatment to patients
- Executes delegated medical functions and reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
- Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
- Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, and may be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN minimum)
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for the unit or service
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Specialty certification appropriate for the unit or service
