Key Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care based on ongoing collection and assessment of patient health data
• Performs health teaching, health counseling, and provides supportive and restorative therapy and treatment to patients
• Executes delegated medical functions and reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
• Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
• Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, and may be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN minimum)
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for the unit or service

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Specialty certification appropriate for the unit or service
