Travel RN – Cath Lab Prep/Recovery Nurse

Contract | Travel | Days | 4 x 10-hour shifts per week | 13-Week Assignment | Start Time: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and recover patients undergoing Cath Lab and EP Lab procedures
- Manage pre- and post-procedural care with patient ratios of 3–4:1; maintain 1:1 intraprocedural patient ratios
- Operate and monitor equipment including IV pumps, specialty beds, bedside monitors, and telemetry boxes
- Document patient care using the Cerner electronic health record system
- Participate in on-call rotation, including 4–5 weekday nights per 6-week schedule and approximately every 10th–11th weekend
- Support IR, invasive CT, and invasive ultrasound cases within the Radiology Nursing unit
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- ICU or Emergency Department (ED) experience required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Experience with cardiac diagnoses, with emphasis on vascular patients, IVDA, chest tubes, and CVA
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous Interventional Radiology (IR) experience strongly preferred
- Moderate sedation experience preferred
- Critical care and/or procedural nursing background
- Familiarity with Cerner documentation system
