Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology. Minimum 3-5 years of combined experience in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit, and/or Cath Lab. Minimum 5 years of experience in clinic nursing. License: California Registered Nurse License Certifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing AHA Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Must-Have: Ability to float to other facilities. Knowledge of both diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures and techniques, including equipment, accessories, surgical procedures, sterile technique, and patient care. Description: The role involves providing nursing care in a cardiac catheterization setting. The nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The candidate should possess skills in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations. Responsibilities include monitoring patients during procedures and providing procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Ability to understand and manage dysrhythmias is essential.
