Cath Lab RN Registered Nurse Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: 2+ years of recent Cath Lab experience License: State License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Ability to start on the specified date - Must have 2+ years of recent Cath Lab experience - Call is required with a minimum response time of less than 30 minutes - Floating required per facility needs Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab. The nurse will be responsible for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations. Experience in left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring is essential. The nurse must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Knowledge of procedural sedation administration and monitoring is required. The nurse will assist with central line insertion, blood product administration, and emergency medications. Experience in percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) is also necessary. The nurse will be required to cover call for 11-14 days, including rotating weekend call. All requested time off must be submitted during the application process. Nurses are responsible for interpreting cardiac rhythms for all telemetry patients. A minimum score of 80% on a telemetry assessment is required on the first day of orientation. If the assessment is not passed, remedial education will be provided.
