Job Title: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab Profession: Nursing Specialty: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience for RNs License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience in diagnostic/interventional procedures Description: Level 1 Trauma Center Level III Perinatal Center Teaching hospital Magnet designated Comprehensive stroke center 397 Beds 3 Cath Labs Will not accept first-time travelers for RNs Common case types include Cath and EP procedures Includes diagnostic/interventional procedures, NSTEMI and STEMI cases, alongside advanced cardiac interventions Average daily case load of 5-15 cases per day RN skills required include moderate sedation with Versed/Fentanyl, critical drip management, and monitoring/circulating cases Tech skills required include laser lead extraction, IVUS, Impella management, and monitoring function Charge RN will assist during cases Support from receptionists, hospitalists/physicians, and respiratory therapists available after hours Manager or supervisor presence in the unit Technology includes EMR, IV Pumps, Hemodynamics systems, and PACS Weekend rotations are in place with call requirements On-call shifts for RN and Tech positions, with scheduling every 4 weeks Possible overnight call shifts during the weekdays Shift times are from 0700 to 1730 Schedules made in 6-week increments with self-scheduling options Scrub colors provided TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Cath Lab RN in Chicago, Illinois, 60657!
