Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Vail, Colorado. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment, providing specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in patient assessment, procedural assistance, and post-procedure recovery, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care throughout the patient's journey in the Cath Lab. Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, and pacemaker insertions.
- Monitor patient hemodynamics, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms throughout procedures.
- Administer medications, including sedatives, anticoagulants, and emergency drugs, as prescribed.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
- Provide comprehensive pre-procedure education and post-procedure care, including sheath removal and patient monitoring.
- Operate and troubleshoot Cath Lab specific equipment, such as IVUS, FFR, and IABP.
- Respond effectively to cardiac emergencies and assist with resuscitation efforts.
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care, procedures, and medication administration.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
