Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab/IR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 Hour Days plus Call Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years in a hospital setting specializing in Cardiac Cath/IR License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Client-based experience in Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology for more than 3 years Proficiency in EMR and Equipment including EPIC/Apollo cardiac charting Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology. The role involves intra-procedural circulating, supplies management, medication administration, and sedation. The average number of cases per day is between 4 to 5. Common diagnoses and types of patients include Compression Fractures, Venous Access, Hydronephrosis, Chest Pain, Pulmonary Hypertension, Shortness of Breath, Gastric Ulcer, Pulmonary Embolism, and Deep Vein Thrombosis. The team consists of a Supervisor and three Cath Lab Technicians. Minimum call requirements include 10 shifts during the week and 2 weekends, which are typically one for IR and one for Cardiac procedures. Holiday call requirements are also expected. Call response time is within 30 minutes. Daily floating and on-call duties may be required. Applicable dress code is surgical greens. This is a versatile lab primarily performing Interventional Radiology with additional Cardiac inpatient procedures. Preparedness for STEMI treatments, including IABP stabilization, is essential. Candidates must not be employed in any full-time, part-time, or PRN capacities with any associated facilities. Fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails in all patient care areas. RTO requests must be upfront, with a limit of 7 days over a 13-week contract. Additional RTO requests will not be approved after submission. Cancellation policies allow for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment.
