Average of 8 cases per day. Common diagnoses include Unstable Angina. Duties involve circulating Left and Right Heart Caths, Pacemakers, and TEE. Call is self-scheduled by days a month. Call amount varies depending on staffing, with the possibility of 7 or more shifts per month, including weekends. Weekend and holiday call requirements are also self-scheduled. Must be able to float to pre and post care for Cath Lab, GI, and IR patients. In the GI setting, responsibilities include following doctors' orders, taking vital signs, and providing education to patients' families during discharge. Dress code includes scrubs, which are provided. Unit/Department specific orientation is designed to be completed within 1 week. The cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting is conducted using the EPIC system. A BSN is not required for this position.
