License: Must have license in hand prior to start date. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted.
Certifications: ACLS, BCLS
Must-Have:
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Experience with documentation systems such as Cerner is preferred.
- Ability to circulate and provide conscious sedation.
Description:
The position requires a minimum of one year of experience in a related field.
Nurses will work a shift of four 10-hour days.
There is the potential for additional 12-hour shifts if the candidate is competent to circulate in Electrophysiology.
Candidates will be on call 10-12 days a month and every third weekend.
Daily census in the unit is typically 5-7 patients.
Candidates will utilize documentation software for recording patient information.
Required procedures include cardiac interventions such as left heart and right heart catheterizations, balloon pump management, and pericardiocentesis.
Interventional Radiology procedures include venous access, drain placements, GI tube insertions, and management of embolizations and bleeds.
Staffing and scheduling is based on self-scheduling, with two approved days off per contract.
Candidates will be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
Floating is mandatory for all travelers.
Two supervisor references are required for application.
Travelers must work 2 out of the 3 major holidays.
