Description:
RN with a minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience is required.
Experience in pediatric cath is mandatory.
Preference will be given to candidates with electrophysiology (EP) lab experience, but candidates without this experience will be considered.
Responsibilities will include circulating with options to monitor and scrub based on skill set.
Low-volume unit with approximately 140 cases per year.
Call requirements will vary, starting with 2 shifts per week with a gradual increase based on lab needs.
Candidates must have skills in end-tidal CO2 monitoring, activated clotting time, and arrhythmia induction.
Experience in interventional cardiac catheterizations, cardiac ablation, and pediatric diagnostic cath lab is essential.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and procedural sedation administration is required.
Candidates should be familiar with various monitoring techniques, including 12 lead EKG/ECG and pulmonary artery line monitoring.
The ability to assist with special procedures and infection prevention is necessary.
This role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams.
A BSN is preferred, and candidates will float within their scope of practice as needed.
