Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Catheterization Lab - $2,831 per week in Lexington, KY

Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, patient falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation auditing. Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice; explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Develop and prioritize patient problem lists in coordination with the inter-professional team, determining desired outcomes in alignment with the medical plan of care
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice; explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition; conduct and document ongoing assessments using the nursing process
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care provided by other team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, patient falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ADN or ASN degree required
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a busy cardiac cath lab setting strongly preferred
• BSN degree preferred
• Previous nursing experience in a specialty or procedural environment
