Description

Job Opportunity – Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: October 1, 2026
Location: West Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with on-call rotation

Highlights:

  • Daily caseload of 8-10 procedures including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization
  • Work in a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 838 staffed beds
  • Structural heart experience required - must be competent in all aspects of Cath Lab procedures
  • Cerner charting system with 16 hours of orientation provided
  • On-call requirements: 2-3 weekday nights (7 PM - 6:30 AM) second call, plus weekend rotation approximately every 4-5 weeks
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week with minimal floating requirements

Requirements:

  • Active West Virginia RN license or Compact license (pending licenses accepted for submission, but active WV license required at start)
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience required; at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience
  • Experience with diagnostic and interventional procedures including structural heart procedures
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
  • Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • ARRT registration required
  • Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility (75-99 miles may be considered with approval)
  • Two professional references from managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years
  • Cerner charting experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Circulate in the Cath Lab and perform moderate sedation
  • Conduct patient assessments and medication administration
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
  • Participate in on-call rotation with 2-hour call-back minimum
