The team works four ten-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. The shift hours are from 6:30 AM to 5 PM. The Cath Lab has a team consisting of three full-time nurses. There is only one Cath Lab procedure room. The pre/post procedure area includes four bays and is staffed by two registered nurses. Occasionally, the team performs STEMI coverage on weekends. Travelers are expected to participate in STEMI call when scheduled during those coverage periods. The position requires on-call availability from Monday to Saturday. The call-back is only for post-PCI patients that need to be brought back into the Cath Lab. The nursing team will not float between service lines. The preferred charting system is Epic. The daily census typically includes four patients. The expected patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics. Support services include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Compliance with health regulations and procedures is mandatory. Candidates must complete all required procedures before starting the position. This role may involve working during the hurricane season, which runs from June through November each year.
