Must-Have:
Candidates must have pre or post-op experience.
Experience with emergent stroke cases is helpful.
Description:
The unit primarily runs three cardiac catheterization labs at a time.
The average number of cases per day varies from 5 to 15.
Types of cases include electrophysiology procedures, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, pacemakers, and ablations.
All staff are cross-trained for monitoring cases.
Registered Nurses circulate and monitor the cases alongside Scrub Techs.
There are three personnel assigned to each case.
The facility uses a GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System.
Call requirement is approximately 10-11 days per month, including one weekend.
Registered Nurses are responsible for patient care, including cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization.
Candidates are expected to have experience with the care settings in an acute environment.
