Description:
This position is for a travel RN in the Cath Lab.
The unit consists of 4 CV labs and has a staffing of 8.
Day shift staff typically includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters.
Shifts can be structured as either 4-10 hour days or 5-8 hour days.
There is a weekly night and rotating weekend call requirement.
Patient ratios on the night shift are typically 1:1 or 1:2.
The type of equipment used includes GE EMR Mac Lab and Meditech.
Candidates with EP and pediatric Cath Lab experience are preferred.
Typical procedures performed include left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, congenital Vascular, and EP procedures.
The unit seeks individuals who are positive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential.
On-call requirements involve 15 nights of call per month with a low likelihood of being called back for emergencies.
This Cath Lab offers a unique opportunity by performing a variety of procedures on both pediatric and adult patients for cardiac, vascular, EP, and congenital services.
