Description:
The role involves circulating cases, including administering medications and sedation.
You will monitor patients through procedures and can monitor or scrub if trained to do so.
Common diagnoses include a variety of cases in cardiac, interventional cardiology, and interventional radiology.
Experience with various cases such as diagnostic heart catheterizations, PCI, device implants, and structural heart interventions is desirable.
Candidates should have experience with cardiac ablations and device implants.
The facility has 3 rooms and a hybrid OR, averaging 15-20 cases per day.
Charting is performed using an EMR system.
Team structure includes an interim manager and a charge nurse each day.
Cath lab staff typically work in teams of 3-4 depending on staffing needs and the type of case.
Call requirements typically range from 7-10 days per month, including one weekend per month and a holiday commitment.
Response time for call is typically within 30 minutes.
The department follows a dress code where scrubs are provided for staff during shifts.
