Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have BLS and ACLS certifications. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: The unit has 3 procedure rooms for Cardiac Cath Lab services. There are a total of 9 staff members, including RNs and Cath Lab Techs. During the day shift, the team consists of 1 supervisor, 3 RNs, and 2 Cath Lab Techs. On-call staff for the night shift includes 2 RNs and 1 Cath Lab Tech or 1 RN and 2 Cath Lab Techs. The patient care ratio is 3 team members per 1 patient procedure. The unit uses Phillips and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment. The electronic medical record system in use is MERGE Hemo-Cath Lab documentation system and Meditech Expanse. The preferred candidate will have electrophysiology experience. Typical procedures performed include left and right heart catheters, pacemaker/ICD insertions, watchman procedures, IR procedures, and vascular EP ablations (PFA). The ideal candidate will be a team player and flexible. Candidates without the required certifications will not be considered. Unit guidelines include universal precautions, timeout procedures, and moderate sedation guidelines. The schedule requires one full weekend plus two weekdays for a total of 10 shifts per four-week schedule.
