Experience with left and right diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, pacemaker and AICD implants, loop recorders, impellas, balloon pumps, TEEs, cardioversions, and tilt tables.

The RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. This role focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in delivering quality care. The RN also mentors and precepts staff. Responsibilities include: Assessment: Performing assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition. Developing and Implementing: Initiating, prioritizing, and implementing the plan of care while collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services. Evaluation: Monitoring and documenting responses to clinical interventions. Education: Facilitating, coordinating, providing, and evaluating education specific to patient and family needs. Leadership: Delegating tasks to personnel, functioning as a mentor/preceptor, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Participating in quality, safety, and service improvement efforts. Complying with regulatory standards. Required Skills and Experience include: Two years of acute care RN experience. Experience with left and right diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, pacemaker and AICD implants, loop recorders, impellas, balloon pumps, TEEs, cardioversions, and tilt tables. Experience in handling STEMI patients and peripheral IV access. Patient ratio of 1:1. Familiarity with equipment such as IV pumps, sheaths, Impellas, balloon pumps, IVUS, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and hemodynamic systems. Experience with Epic charting.
