The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. This role emphasizes personal development and education supported by a governance framework. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. The RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. This role focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in delivering quality care. The RN also mentors and precepts staff. Responsibilities include: Assessment: Performing assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition. Developing and Implementing: Initiating, prioritizing, and implementing the plan of care while collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services. Evaluation: Monitoring and documenting responses to clinical interventions. Education: Facilitating, coordinating, providing, and evaluating education specific to patient and family needs. Leadership: Delegating tasks to personnel, functioning as a mentor/preceptor, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Participating in quality, safety, and service improvement efforts. Complying with regulatory standards. Required Skills and Experience include: Two years of acute care RN experience. Experience with left and right diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, pacemaker and AICD implants, loop recorders, impellas, balloon pumps, TEEs, cardioversions, and tilt tables. Experience in handling STEMI patients and peripheral IV access. Patient ratio of 1:1. Familiarity with equipment such as IV pumps, sheaths, Impellas, balloon pumps, IVUS, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and hemodynamic systems. Experience with Epic charting. Preferred Skills and Experience: Not applicable. Required Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing. Preferred Education: Not applicable.
