Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - BLS - ACLS Description: The unit consists of three procedure rooms. There are nine staff members, including RNs and Cath Lab Techs. During the day shift, there are one supervisor, three RNs, and two Cath Lab Techs. On night shift, there are on-call staff only, including two RNs and one Cath Lab Tech or one RN and two Cath Lab Techs. The patient-to-staff ratio is one procedure team consisting of three members for each patient procedure. The equipment used includes Phillips and Siemens Floro equipment, EMR MERGE Hemo, and Cath Lab documentation system as well as Meditech Expanse. The typical procedures performed include left and right heart caths, pacemaker/ICD placements, Watchman, IR procedures, and vascular EP Ablations (PFA). Electrophysiology experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should be team players and adaptable. One full weekend plus two weekdays comprise a total of ten shifts per four-week schedule. Unit guidelines include procedural guidelines such as universal precautions, timeout procedures, and moderated sedation guidelines.
