Cath Lab RN / Cath Lab Tech – Travel Assignment

Facility: IMMC – Cardiac Cath Lab
Shift: 10-hour Days
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Experience: 2+ years Cath Lab experience required
First-Time Travelers: Not accepted

Cath Lab Services

Cath Lab:

• Diagnostic & interventional procedures
• Left & right heart catheterization
• NSTEMI & STEMI
• Impella
• IABP / balloon pumps
• Rotoblator
• CTO / staged PCI
• Shockwave
• Temporary pacemakers
• Peripheral diagnostic/interventional procedures
• Loop recorders

EP Lab:

• Micra
• Pacemakers
• AICDs
• Lead extractions/revisions
• Generator changes

RN Requirements

• 2+ years Cath Lab experience
• Previous travel experience required
• BLS
• ACLS
• Experience with moderate sedation using Versed/Fentanyl
• Critical drip management
• Ability to monitor and circulate Cath Lab cases
• Experience with a broad range of cardiac/interventional procedures preferred

Cath Lab Tech Requirements

• 2+ years Cath Lab experience
• Previous travel experience required
• BLS
• ACLS
• ARRT required
• RCIS alone is not accepted
• Experience with:
  • Laser lead extraction
  • Rotoblator
  • FFR
  • IVUS
  • Impella
  • IABP
  • EKOS
  • Pacemakers
  • Scrubbing and pan-table setup
  • Medrad
  • Groin-site management and monitoring

Equipment & Technology

• Epic EMR
• Alaris IV pumps
• Pyxis medication dispensing
• Philips hemodynamics
• Merge PACS
• Philips C-arms

Schedule & Call

• 4–5 additional overnight call shifts per 4-week schedule
• Weekend call: 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
  • Saturday + Sunday together, or
  • Two separate weekend shifts
• 30-minute response time
• No sleep room available
• Holiday call may be required
• Self-scheduling with manager's final approval
• Schedule created in 6-week increments
• RTO: Up to 7 days

• Orientation: 1 day on the unit

Ideal Candidate

Experienced Cath Lab RN or Cath Lab Tech with at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience, strong cardiac/interventional skills, and previous travel experience. Candidate must be comfortable with overnight and weekend call requirements.
