Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a compact state license
  • At least 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab, cardiovascular, interventional radiology, or closely related procedural nursing experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Ability to work rotating evening shifts and participate in overnight on-call coverage
  • Strong patient assessment, communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
  • Applicants must meet the applicable 50-mile travel radius requirement

Travel RN Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Prepare patients, equipment, and procedural areas for scheduled and urgent cardiac interventions
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and promptly recognize changes in clinical condition
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, facility policies, and applicable standards
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, procedural staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support efficient patient care
  • Complete accurate nursing documentation, patient handoffs, and post-procedure assessments
  • Respond to callback needs and support the Cardiac Cath Lab during urgent cardiac cases
