Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse (RN)

The Cardiac Catheterization RN is an essential member of the patient care team within the department. This role emphasizes collaboration with other care team members to ensure continuity of care for patients. The Cath Lab RN champions a philosophy of patient and family-centered care in interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel, focusing on understanding and meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cath Lab setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions before, during, and after procedures.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and ongoing care.
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to respond to patient needs and emergencies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ICU experience preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a Cath Lab RN preferred.
• Prior travel experience is a plus, though not required.

Work Schedule

This position supports either a schedule of three 12-hour shifts. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call may be required during the contract, though there will be no weekend or holiday worked shifts. During a 13-week contract, expect 1-2 weeknight calls (in total) and possibly 1 weekend, which is not guaranteed.
