Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations, focusing on the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care within the surgical environment. This role involves continuous communication with physicians about patient conditions and assisting with the maintenance of equipment and inventory in the cardiovascular laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular lab setting.
Communicate continuously with physicians regarding patient status.
Assist with the maintenance and readiness of procedure rooms and equipment.
Obtain necessary supplies for specific cases, ensuring the needs of the team are met.
Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Continuously monitor and record patient conditions while in the cardiovascular lab.
Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Active state Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hiring, with ongoing maintenance required.
A minimum of four (4) years of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care setting is required.

This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic healthcare team. The schedule includes shifts from Monday to Thursday.
