Cath Lab RN — Morristown, NJ

Assignment Details

  • Shift: Days, 6:45 AM – 8:00 PM, 3x12s
  • On-call required up to 4x per week, including weekends
  • Contract: 90 weeks, guaranteed hours confirmed

Role Overview

  • Delivers age-appropriate care across the full lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric
  • Performs thorough, systematic, comprehensive, and accurate patient assessments
  • Provides competent perioperative nursing care, including pre- and post-operative assessment and patient education
  • Individualizes care according to procedure type and anesthesia across the continuum of care
  • Prioritizes patient care based on need and condition changes as part of the perioperative team
  • Maintains accurate, complete nursing documentation, including patient education and progress toward outcomes
  • Follows National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and two-patient-identifier verification
  • Demonstrates safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
  • May support Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) duties, including evaluating orders for appropriateness based on procedure, age, and health status
  • Maintains HIPAA compliance and professional, patient-centered communication

Requirements

  • 2 years of critical care experience required
  • Active RN license required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
